    i do like how hes doing the moves as if he was doing it in an actual defence move, with powerful and confidence. rather than the typical slight smove of just getting it over with

    Nice explosion on the moves. I enjoy the fact that the sin wave is not exaggerated. That's how it was supposed to be since day 1.

    I have never seen anyone do that extra bounce or dip in the movements. I'm not saying it's wrong. But I feel like, if I did that, my Suh-bum-nim would say (who is a grand master), "WHY ARE YOU BOUNCING??"

  • @elijahgurr6205

    One thing. When you are doing the Sine Wave for the punch after the high block, make sure you stretch out your arm b while lowering yourself, this gives you more power and mass rather than you stretching your arm when at your peak height

  • @basuraeterna

    Nice pattern, nice power, stances. I didn't like some of the breathing sequences, which makes them incorrect. (slow, continuous, natural motions) The rest, the pattern is very well done.

    Bless you for this. I am a TKD veteran, black belt over 20 years ago. Life got in the way for a long time but I'm starting back up, just at home for now. I dusted off my old board breaking trophy and I'm literally inspiring myself. I'm so glad to find you to help me remember my hyungs. I know the ITF has a different name for them, but I learned traditional style. I still remember Chon Ji and Do San and I'm starting with the lower forms, with intent to progress at the pace of my improving fitness. Anyway I'm sure this comment isn't super exciting but it helps me get even more motivated if I share. Again thank you so much! 🥋❤️‍🔥🙏🏻

      I actually graded yesterday for 5th kup. I had turning kick breaking ( i think it will be the same for you) the only thing i can suggest is to practice with the wall, remember the turning kick has an angle of 45° degrees. Take the habit to use the ball of the foot also as is the striking tool for turning kick. Best of luck for today, Tae kwon, From Ireland

    He is not sliding is feet when he punches

    • @Tkdtube
      @Tkdtube 26 днів тому

      There is no sliding of the feet in Chon Ji.

    • @TheMagicalJeff
      @TheMagicalJeff 26 днів тому

      Yes, you always keep your feet on the ground so if someone kicks you in the leg you don’t fall

    • @Tkdtube
      @Tkdtube 26 днів тому

      @TheMagicalJeff these are forms. The movements performed in them are not meant to be a reflection of how one would perform them in real life. If you watch any chon ji video on youtube, you will see no one slides their feet when performing this pattern. Also, no one should keep their feet grounded in a real fight. They should always be lightly bouncing so they remain limber.

    Thank you. We visited a local school and they tried to convince us that using youtube videos was bad. We should have to drive 45 minutes each way to their school and give them a lotta dough to learn them. And share an instructor with all the other students. That's a red flag as far as we're concerned. We will attend the school twice a week but to tell us we can't use supplemental material is hogwash. Thanks again.

    • @Tkdtube
      @Tkdtube Місяць тому

      I'm curious to know which school you are attending. I hope it is not Saroughi TKD. These youtube videos were filmed using some of the best TKD practitioners in the world. Anyone telling you they can't be used for learning purposes is truly mistaken.

    • @amylee6038

      @@Tkdtube This will come back to haunt me if I give their name. But my husband was a student of Su Ki Shin in the 1970's and 80's (Silver Medalist for Korea in the Olympics in Judo). He was a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. First degree in Judo. He was on the national championship wrestling team at the University of Iowa and a state boxing finalist in two different states. He won Midwest USA titles in both Tae Kwon Do and Judo, made the quarter finals of nationals in 1983. He ran a school but retired in 1986 to coach wrestling, winning five straight state team titles. So he was in a pretty good position to select your videos as the ones he wanted to use for our kids. He's old and fat now, lol. We still want to give this school a chance. They had a national champion there and when we visited they seemed technically sound. But when calling to ask which set of forms they were doing, we got this speech. So he asked if Chon Ji was the first, and they said yes. So it wasn't Tae Geuk forms or whatever. People often think you're stupid when you walk in off the street or call in without credentialing yourself - but why should you have to. So what if there is some minor difference between the videos and a particular club's style - anyone who shows initiative to study additional material outside class should be considered positively.
